What is this video about?
Back in 2013, I created this video as an entry for a competition organized by the Foundation of the École internationale de Montréal. It was a chance to highlight the real impact the foundation has on student life at the school.
The foundation does some genuinely important work. Beyond just managing the school, they've invested in concrete resources that shape the student experience—things like a weight room, color printers, and a computer lab. But their reach extends further. They fund scholarships for students who need them, sponsor end-of-year celebrations, organize workshops, support graduating class initiatives, and finance all sorts of other programs that make the school a better place to be.
I wanted to capture that scope in a short, visual format. The music is "humm ok" by Gablé, which sets a warm, approachable tone for the piece.
This was one of my earlier video projects, made back when I was exploring how to tell stories about institutions and communities in a way that felt genuine rather than corporate. Looking back, it's a snapshot of that moment in time and what mattered to the school community then.
