This is the full vlog of our trip on the USA West Coast. If you only want the short, travel video, it's here: https://youtu.be/iteIhE7SASE
I went on a road trip through the USA West Coast with my friend Nicolas in May 2019. We left Vancouver 🇨🇦 and went down to San Fransisco 🇺🇸 and back to the start, all in 8 days. I filmed the video with my DJI Osmo Pocket using only AUTO settings (because we were limited by the time we had) and I tried to make it look as cinematic as possible while editing it. For those who don't know what the DJI Osmo Pocket is, I have a review linked below. We enjoyed multiple incredible location like the Golden Gate bridge, Napa Valley, San Fransisco, Big Sur, the Oregon Coast, Portland, Seattle and much more! For the tech fanatics, we stopped at each big tech company campus.

This is the full vlog from my West Coast road trip in May 2019. Nicolas and I left Vancouver and drove down to San Francisco and back over 8 days, hitting as many incredible locations as we could fit into the time we had.
For this trip, I only used my DJI Osmo Pocket in auto settings—partly because we were constantly on the move, but also because I wanted to challenge myself to make cinematic travel content without tweaking every exposure and focus. The Osmo Pocket is such a capable camera that it felt right to trust its processing and focus on storytelling instead.
We visited some truly memorable places: the Golden Gate Bridge at sunset (though we had to try twice to nail it), wine tastings in Napa Valley, the San Francisco waterfront, the dramatic cliffs of Big Sur, the rugged Oregon Coast, Portland, Seattle, and the misty old-growth forests of Redwood National Park. Since we're both a bit nerdy about technology, we also made stops at all the major tech company campuses along the way—including Apple's headquarters, where we got to experience their AR visualization of the Infinite Loop building.
Some of my favorite moments weren't at the famous spots: discovering the Enchanted Forest along the coast, watching the sunrise over black sand beaches, sleeping in the car at Lincoln City and waking up to the ocean, and exploring the Russian Fort Ross, which had such a unique history.
If you want a shorter, more polished version of this road trip, I've also edited a travel video version. And if you're curious about the DJI Osmo Pocket itself, I've linked my full review below—it's a genuinely practical tool for anyone who wants to travel light and still capture professional-looking footage.
