Open Expense Splitter is a free and open application to track and split expenses across groups. Whether it's a trip with friends or a shared household, everyone can see what was spent and how it should be split.

Create groups and add expenses as they happen. Spending can be tracked individually or added in batches when you have a lot to catch up on.
#2. Secure sign-in and private data
Sign-in is handled by Auth0 and users can only see their own data.
#3. Modern responsive interface
The interface is built with React and daisyUI and works well on desktop and mobile.
#4. Hosted or self-hosted
Use the public version right away, or host your own copy with Docker or on Cloudflare Workers with a D1 database. One-click deploy buttons are available for both the backend and the frontend.

Note: this project has not had an external security audit, so it shouldn't be used for sensitive financial data.
